Work is well underway on our first season of vegetable growing here at The Wonky Veg Club at Roves Farm. We are a community growing project which aims to provide an outreach space for local community and support groups, and individuals who would find benefit in joining us. The Wonky Veg Club is a place to come and socialise, learn and enjoy working on the land.

The very nature of working outdoors is hugely beneficial for both the mental and physical wellbeing, particularly those struggling with health and social issues. It is these groups and individuals who we hope to provide a supportive and enjoyable space for, by creating opportunities to partake in a purposeful project; growing, tending to and harvesting a wide range of staple vegetables, as well as being able to share in the produce we have grown.

The Wonky Veg Club is a volunteer led project. We are particularly looking for enthusiastic group leaders who would be willing to help run sessions in the field, including coordinating volunteers, leading activities and providing a listening ear or helpful hand to those who need it.

If you are an individual or someone who runs or supports a group whose members may benefit from joining us then please do get in touch using the contact information below. Whatever your ability or experience we would love to hear from you!

Our produce will be for sale in Roves Farm Shop during the harvesting season. All profits will be put back into project enabling us to provide more opportunities, and facilitate a space of support and learning for those struggling with a wide range of health and social issues.
