Discovery Play is all about encouraging children to explore, experiment and have fun through hands-on activities.

Led by our friendly team, these sessions give little ones the chance to get creative, try new things and discover the joy of learning through play. From messy play and crafts to games and building activities, every session is designed to spark curiosity and imagination.

Activities change regularly, so each visit offers something new for children to explore.

What Happens During Discovery Play?

Our themed Discovery Play sessions are relaxed, interactive and full of fun. Children can enjoy a variety of activities which may include:

Messy play and sensory exploration
Creative crafts and mini makes
Building and imaginative play
Games and interactive activities
Seasonal themes and special activities

Our team are always coming up with new ideas, so there’s always something different waiting to be discovered.

Part of Our Baby & Toddler Sessions

Discovery Play often follows our popular Rugrats and Rascals sessions, which include music, movement, rhymes and bubbles before moving into free play and creative exploration.

Rugrats – for babies under 18 months
Rascals – for toddlers and pre-schoolers aged 18 months and over

These sessions run during term time weekdays and are included with your day ticket or membership.

Discover Something New Every Visit

Because Discovery Play changes regularly, you might find anything from themed crafts and building challenges to messy sensory activities or interactive storytelling.

It’s a great way for younger visitors to develop creativity, confidence and curiosity while enjoying a relaxed, friendly environment.

After your session, you can continue the fun by exploring the rest of the farm – meet the animals, visit the play areas, or relax in the café before heading off on your next adventure.
