Update – April 2021
Firstly, we would like to start by thanking everybody who has supported us during this incredibly difficult year. Secondly, The Burr Family would like to share their appreciation and thank their incredible team who, since coming back from furlough have worked tirelessly to provide our visitors with a fantastic day out, come rain or shine!
NEW OPENING TIMES
From the 23rd April we will be open Wednesday – Sunday 9am to 5pm.
As we continue to follow the goverment guidelines our indoor areas will remain closed. We will however be opening our Animal barns, Activity barn, Activity paddocks, Walk in paddocks and Outdoor play areas.
Our Cafe will continue to operate as a takeaway and our farm shop will remain open stocked with our homereared meats and local produce.
Once again to allow us to manage our capasity everyone including members will need to book online.
Our lockdown walks will continue to be open daily (£3 parking fee). A day ticket (wristband) will be required for all activitys, activty areas, animal barns, animal paddocks and outdoor playareas.
CHANGES TO CAFÉ OPENING TIMES
The Cafe currently remains closed but our farm shop and takeaway are open wed-sun.
It will still be open for hot and cold drinks, cakes, and confectionery until 5pm. The Piglet’s Pantry will also be operating a cold food takeaway service until 5pm.
SOFT PLAY TO REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST June 2021
For us to operate within these guidelines, not only would we have to double the staff needed to look after our play areas but we estimate that only 3 small family groups would be able to use our play areas at any one time. We would also have to keep our toddler area and rabbit warren closed at it fails to meet the current guidelines.
This would not only lead to disappointing our visitors but to us losing money every day we opened. Money we just do not have. Therefore, we are forced to keep our indoor play areas closed until the guidelines are relaxed and we can ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
We fully appreciate that this will be very disappointing, but unfortunately it is out of our control.
We first opened our doors in 1989 and as a family, we are incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the last 28 years. We are a family run business, employing local people (many from the same families), to entertain and provide a fun day out for many other local families. We very much hope to still be welcoming visitors to our farm for another 28 years.
We fully appreciate that some of the above information is disappointing, but these are TEMPORARY steps to ensure that Roves Farm is here for many years to come.
We would like to thank you again for all your support and understanding at what is a very difficult time for everybody. If you do have any queries, we would please encourage you to email the team at [email protected].
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
