Re-opening. Visitor updates
The safety and well-being of our guests and staff is as always, our top priority.
When visiting us we would ask that you please observe government guidelines. Maintain distance, observe good hygiene, frequent hand washing and be socially aware during your visit
It is important we work together to ensure the safety of all those that visit or work on the farm. You will need to ensure that everyone visiting follow all guidelines, our staff will not be responsible for ensuring children are following procedures.
Please remember that we will be constantly evolving the situation based on the latest advice.
Please do not visit if you or your children are feeling unwell, you have a temperature or have possibly been exposed to someone with COVID-19
When can we visit?
We are on target to re-open on July 4th. We will not be able to open all areas of the farm or run all the activities. The first week will be for members only and we will be open to everyone from the 10th July.
What precautions are you taking to ensure my visit is as safe as possible?
We will be selling a limited number of tickets online each day to allow us to control the number of people on site. We will also be staggering arrival time to prevent queing.
The visitor centre will be operating card (contactless where possible) only payments in the farm-shop and cafe. (third party attractions may accept cash)
Increased cleaning is in operation and all contact points will be a priority. We have increased our handwashing areas and provided hand sanitiser points where required.
Perspex screens at all till points to keep you and our team safe.
The indoor play-areas will remain closed initially.
We will have a one-way system around the animal barns and activity areas.
We will only run activities that allow us to follow the current goverment guidance.
Floor markings and signs to manage queues and required distancing.
All staff have completed a COVID-19 training course
All staff will be health-monitored
Will the cafe be open?
The ‘Woolly Sheep Cafe’ will be open daily. They will now operate a food collection point.
Seating will be available for those purchasing food. These will be cleaned after each use.
Cutlery and condiments will be delivered with your meal/snack and will be not available for self-service.
We will have limited seating in the barn so there may a wait for a table at peak times.
Tables will seat up to 6 people. We may not be able to seat groups together and tables cannot be moved.
The café will be serving a limited menu. Due to staff restrictions please be patient.
The ‘Piglets Pantry’ takeaway will also be open for ice-creams, hot & cold drinks, and snacks.
Can I bring a picnic?
You can bring a picnic, but you will not be able to eat these in the main barn. We would also ask that you take your rubbish home with you.
Will the toilets be open?
The toilets and baby changing facilities open during opening hours. They may shut for short periods of time to allow for cleaning.
Do I need to book?
Everyone including membership holders will need to book online. We will have a limited number of tickets available each day to allow us to manage and control number. You will need your booking confirmation email on arrival in the car park. Members will also be required to show their valid membership card.
Will admission prices remain the same?
With us limiting the number of tickets a day, increased staff, increase cleaning and continued animal care and retention of our staff, the costs for the business have risen hugely whilst income has fallen drastically. Therefore, we will not be reducing admission prices. We are continuing to add more activities.
I am a member; will my pass be extended?
Memberships that are still valid or expired during the time we are closed will have these days added to them therefore extending the expiry date. This is being done by our ticketing company who will be arranging this in due course. If you have any question, please email us [email protected]
I have a gift voucher; how can I use this?
If you would like to book admission using a gift voucher or day pass, please contact us and we can arrange this for you.
Will the play-areas be open?
We are hopeful that the outdoor play-areas will be open from July 4th. Our indoor play will remain closed until we receive further guidance from the Government.
What daily activities are available?
We are setting up an outdoor area to allow us to run many of our activities outside when possible. We will plan to run all our usual activities excluding tractor rides, egg collecting, craft sessions and animal handling.
We have added several more activties to replace those currently unavailable.
How will the activities operate?
Required distancing will be in operation on all activities. Increased sanitisation and contact point cleaning will be in operation. Equipment will be regularly sprayed and disinfectant throughout the day.
Will the farm shop & gift shop be open?
The farm shop will be open daily 9am-5pm stocked with our home reared meats and other dry goods, ready meals, fruit, and vegetables. They will also continue to operate their click and collect service.
The gift shop at this time will remain closed.
Can we see the animals in the barns?
Our pets’ corner & animal barns will be open operating a one-way system. We have added more handwashing points to allow visitors to wash their hand before and after visiting the barn.
We will be limiting the number of people in these areas so please be patient if there us a wait to enter.
