Everyone is welcome as Roves Farm. We try to ensure as much of the farm is accessible to ensure nobody misses out!
We are open daily, 9am-5pm, from 2nd January until 23rd December.
Access for wheelchair users
Concrete & hard gravel path access on single level to all animal barns, animal handling and feeding areas, play areas, café & picnic areas.
We currently cannot offer tractor rides with wheelchair access. We hope to be able to offer this in the near future as we invest in new trailers.
Please note: The grass paths to the animal paddocks and along the Family Walk & Activity Trail may not be suitable for all wheelchair users.
Frequently Asked Questions
All parking at the farm is free. We have a large main car park for our visitor centre customers and a smaller car park for the use of farm shop customers. We have disabled parking spaces in both.
Disabled toilet facilities can be found in the main barn.
Changing tables are located in the main barn. We are a breastfeeding friendly venue and offer a quiet space in The Shepherd’s Rest for feeding in more comfort.
Carer admission
Visitors who have the following documentation are entitled to one discounted carer ticket for a carer accompanying them. Please bring with you one of the following documents so we can issue you with a discounted carer ticket on arrival.
- Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance award letter (dated within the last 12 months).
- Personal Independence Payment letter (dated within the last 12 months).
- A current and valid Blue Badge.
- Letter from GP or consultant (dated within the last 12 months) confirming the need for a full time carer. This does not need to be a letter of diagnosis.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to issue a carer ticket or allow carer entry without seeing the above documentation. Carer must be with a full paying adult/child.
Please note discounted carer tickets are not available during special events.
Further information
- No smoking or vaping is permitted within any of the buildings or outside areas at Roves Farm. Please only smoke/vape in the car park area.
- Dogs can access The Shepherd’s Rest, where water bowls and beds can be found. They are also welcome in the Rambler’s Retreat seating area next to our Cafe, but they are not permitted in any other areas of the farm.
- First Aid is available at the office in the main barn. There are always trained staff onsite.
- We accept cash and card payments. We do not accept American Express.
