Roves Farm is a 166 hectare farm, located 3 miles east of Swindon. It is a mixed working farm, dedicated to farming for wildlife. Our flower rich meadows, grass field margins, hedges and fields of wild bird cover are a haven for wildlife. Our commercial flock of 250 Poll Dorset and Lleyn breeding ewes, and 15 Gloucester Old Spot sows (producing a total of 280-300 piglets each year!) supply our surrounding communities with good quality, fresh, local produce.
Our home produced Suffolk cross prime lambs are born and reared to the highest welfare and environmental standards on the farm. Our lamb is hung for a minimum of 10 days to develop flavour and produce tender, succelent cuts. It is carefully butchered by Andrew's Quality Meats, our local butcher. It not only tastes great but is also incredibly good value, averaging at £6.84/ kg or less.
Our Gloucester Old Spot pork is made into our Roves Farm Bangers and Pork Boxes, with the rest going to Wykham Park Farm Shop near Banbury. Gloucester Old Spot pigs are a traditional rare breed producing the finest cuts of pork. They grow slowly in a stress free environment, enhancing their flavour, producing delicious succulent, mouth watering pork with proper crackling.
We are passionate about producing good quality meat from the best animals reared to high animal welfare standards. Born and reared at Roves Farm, you can have peace of mind knowing who and where your meat has come from. Our meat is tender and full of flavour. Cuts are seperately packed and labelled ready to go straight in the oven or the freezer!
Roves Farm Bangers and Minty Lamb Burgers are made from the whole animal so they contain a high level of extra lean meat. They are dairy free but do contain gluten and egg.
Roves Farm Bangers come in 2 flavours; 'Traditional Plain Pork' or 'Bloody Lovely'.
Each delicious 6oz Lamb Burger is individually frozen before being vacuum packed in sixes, so you can get out just one or two burgers or the whole packet. From frozen, they take 10 minutes to cook.
